our top story on this friday december 6th. freezing temperatures continue to hit the bay area. we are tracking the cold weather all morning. we have erica year bringing the numbers down. what are we looking at for the next day and a half. a possible this snow is it. >>erica: that's right james the possibility of another cold front to push through and some light snow on top of mount hamilton is definitely a possibility. as for right now temperatures already and the low 20s. 27 degrees and the way of right now and these aren't even your morning lows. temperatures will continue to drop over the next couple of hours. take a look.

livermore freezing we are waking up to clear skies and that's really allowing for these temperatures to drop. there's really no surprise that the freeze warning has been extended until 9:00 later on this morning. and pretty much everyone affected. in fact a winter wind advisories has been tacked on. so keep that in mind. showers will arrive later on today in the north bay industrial along the peninsula but this cold front, the system we are tracking is a fast mover. it looks like the heaviest rain will fall overnight. as for afternoon highs, upper '40's the low 50s. another chilly day ahead with oakland-53, 51 degrees in fairfield grid downtown san francisco with a high of 52 degrees. we have very frigid conditions in the forecast with temperatures yet again and the low 20s if not the teens as we wrap up the weekend.

an amber alert issued in washington state has now extended to california. police are looking for a 19-year-old man suspected of kidnapping a 14-year-old girl. kron 4's philippe djegal has more on where police believe the two are headed. the washington state police say it's possible that flores for solace could be taking romero to mexico. this is a fog of the vehicle police say he may be driving. an early 2000 reported grain escaped with temporary washington registration for the california highway patrol describes our romero as hispanics than a 5 ft. 3 with brown hair and brown eyes. last seen wearing a

it will determine what existing rules were broken and recommend changes for ensuring future student safety. the task force was appointed amid allegations that four white freshmen subjected their black roommate to racial slurs, other torments and even injuries. there are new details about the human ashes found on a roadside in san francisco. the ashes of dorothy cosmos.who died more than two years ago.were found wednesday. the box of ashes was on the highway 101 freeway entrance at south van ness avenue. cosmos' family says it's possible the ashes fell out of a truck during a recent move. a relative of dorothy reacts to the news. she loved the ocean. dorothy cosmos was a san

francisco native and died at age 94. she owned and operated the snack bar of ferry boat trips to and from san francisco in the 19-70s. dorothy's ashes have been given back to family members and now they are working on a final and proper goodbye. a new development in the crash that killed actor paul walker 18 year old jameson witty was arrested for allegedly swiping a piece of the wrecked porsche from a tow truck. the truck was removing the wreckage from the street where the accident happened in santa clarita on saturday. police say witty grabbed the part from the porsche when the tow truck stopped

the cold temperatures are hitting all over the nation

with below freezing temperatures in a lot of areas. a major winter storm is dumping snow and ice on parts of the plains -- the deep south -- and into the midwest. on the left of your screen you can see the snow falling in illinois. and then on the right in oklahoma. the icy roads making it hard for motorists to get around. some are relieved at florida state after a prosecutor decides not to bring charges against a heisman trophy favorite. the heaviest rain expected to fall overnight. a beautiful shot started off the morning but again, to enjoy a teen-ager's scarf hacked and several players because temperatures are already in the low 20s. 26

now time for the kron4 tech report with gabe slate. the morning. a big battle between to attack the giants is shaping up amazon and will go over drone's robots and same-day delivery service. on sunday amazon a big splash in announcing their new drone delivery system. they are working on and now google has told the new york times and they are investing big time in a similar project. for according to the new york times, google is buying its way into a robotic game 3 by seven companies that are now the foundation of its robotics team. these companies include power caster wheels to a company specializing in computer vision. combining these companies are bringing them to silicon valley under one roof they hope to building new generation of a mobile

behind me bridge we just got out of the truck and these conditions are very similar to what we saw yesterday. 29 degrees. not a lot of land or a lot of frost. a light dusting of frost on some of the cars which should not be a big issue for residents of terror in the east bay but we've seen these cold temperatures cause some inconvenience for people in the east. there was a water main break and martinez. some people have been caught off guard for some of the temperatures. we will speak with some residents to see how they are dealing with the cold weather and see if it's causing them in the issues this week. and what had to the north bay where we continue to follow this cold snap. we have freezing temperatures of and the san rafeal area. let's touch base with kron4's jackie cecil. >>: right at the freezing market for it fluctuates between 32 and 31 degrees and it is called. much the same as we've had for the past couple of days. it's

to find out how long he will be locked up. his sentencing was delayed yesterday by a marin county judge. wade is convicted of attempted murder and firing a weapon into an occupied vehicle among other charges. a happy reunion for a family in fremont after they were re-connected with their long-lost cat yesterday. the 6-year old orange tabby, known as dash, ran away from home three- and a -half- years ago. a few days after his owners moved from their previous home in san jose. the cat was taken to a shelter this week by a woman who found him living in a neighborhood a few miles away from where he had gone missing. dash was quickly reunited with his family because he was micro- chipped.

for ford is the time as we watch wall street. the outlook for hiring is improving and the economy is growing at its fastest pace in more than a year but stock traders are worried that means the federal reserve is closer to pulling back its stimulus.

that $85 billion-a-month bond-buying program has been helping to power this year's record-setting run in the stock market. the fear of a fed pullback led to another market decline yesterday. here's a look at the closing numbers. the dow jones industrial average dropped 68 points. the nasdaq composite declined nearly 5 points and the s&p 500 index dropped for the fifth time in a row yesterday, matching its longest losing streak since september. it closed down nearly eight points apple has come up with a way to track where you are located, while you're inside one of its stores. starting today, the company will begin using i-beacon, an app that sends you messages tailored to where you are inside the store.
